In pursuit of achieving our mission, the Sumaúma Institute operates with the following programs and projects:
The Paths of Knowledge Program aims to promote training for Afro, Indigenous, and/or peripheral people and operates with the following projects: Preparatory Course for Postgraduate Selections, Technical Training for the Research Field, and Sumaúma Research Group.

The Scientific Communication of Resistance Program aims to work with Documentation and promotion of knowledge. To this end, it relies on the following projects: Sumaúma Repository, Digital Communication, and Events.

The Sumaúma Lab Program – Interdisciplinary Laboratory of Science, Technology and Society aims to conduct research in Political Incidence, Communication, Technology, and Education.
